Two of the UK’s largest cosmetic surgery groups have announced that they will match the NHS’s offer of removing PIP implants from any of its patients who had them since 2001. They will not however replace them free of charge.

Both Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group and The Hospital Group bowed to pressure from the Government and patients by announcing the Uturn on their websites.

Harley Medical still stands firm on its refusal to offer patients free removal.

The Situation:

Transform will provide a scan to see if the PIP implants have ruptured FREE and remove the implants for FREE regardless. Transform will replace the implants for a discounted cost of £2500.

The Hospital Group is offering FREE removal of PIP implants for patients between 2001 and 2009 and replacement with Allergen implants for £1500.
